Defensive Driving for Adults at Equality Charter School

After acquiring its original charter, Caitlin Franco directed the turnabout of Equality Charter School

from one of the lowest 25 percent of New York City middle schools to one of the top 3 percent in only one academic year. Caitlin Franco is co-founder and executive director of Equality Charter School, which also offers adult programs in its effort to influence children through their parents, neighbors, brothers, teachers, and other adults in their lives.

One event that the school will be holding is the Defensive Driving Course which participants can register through Equality’s Adult Programming page (www.equalitycharterschool.org/events/defensive-driving-course/). It will be held on May 24 and 25, 2017, from 6pm to 9pm, at 4140 Hutchinson River Parkway East, Bronx, New York. The AARP Smart Drive Course will teach defensive driving techniques, new road traffic rules and laws, as well as proven safety strategies.

There will be not exams to pass. Completing the course can save participants 10 percent on their car insurance as well as remove as much as 4 points from their driving record.
